Walmart’s chief people officer Donna Morris has been appointed to the board of directors of UKG, the HR, payroll and workforce management company announced Monday.
Morris is executive vice president and chief people officer at Walmart, where she oversees global HR and people operations for more than two million associates, including 1.6 million in the United States.
“By leading global HR and people operations for the world’s largest private employer and retailer, Donna’s deep understanding of the frontline workforce and how technology and innovation are reshaping employee experiences will be invaluable to our board,” said Aron Ain, executive chair of the UKG board.
Morris said she was “thrilled” to take on the role. “Tens of millions of people worldwide use UKG solutions every day, which gives UKG a unique understanding of what is happening across today’s workforce,” she said. “Together, we can transform the way people across the frontline work, resulting in a better overall experience for employees and their customers alike.”
Before joining Walmart in 2020, Morris spent 17 years at Adobe, where she served in several leadership roles, including as chief human resources officer and executive vice president of employee experience.
She has been recognized on the inaugural Forbes Future of Work 50 list and Mass Market Retailer’s Most Influential Women in Retailing list. Human Resource Executive has also named her among the Top 100 HR Tech Influencers.
