Demand for administrative, customer service roles expected to grow in 2025

by HR News Canada

Employers seeking talent in 2025 may find the highest demand in administrative and customer service roles, according to a new report from Randstad Canada.

The workforce solutions firm identified administrative assistants, bookkeepers, sales associates, customer service representatives, and receptionists as the top five most in-demand jobs for the coming year. The report suggests that, despite automation and artificial intelligence transforming workplaces, jobs requiring human interaction and organizational skills remain essential.

Other occupations expected to see strong demand include office administrators, general labourers, drivers, pharmacy assistants, forklift operators, warehouse labourers, financial analysts, HR generalists, electricians, and estimators.

Randstad Canada said these findings highlight the continued importance of human presence in workplaces. “Even as AI is at the heart of discussions in the world of work, professions that require human connection and reflection remain crucial,” the company said in a statement.

The list was compiled based on job market trends and hiring needs across industries. Randstad Canada provides workforce solutions and staffing services to employers across the country.
