Central Québec School Board has appointed Julie Simard as its new director of human resources, effective July 1.
Simard brings nearly 25 years of pedagogical leadership experience at CQSB, including five years as a school administrator, to the position.
“Having led numerous innovative projects, she has strengthened her ability to drive strategic initiatives and positively mobilize her teams,” the board said in a statement.
She will take over from Nancy L’Heureux, who has been handling dual responsibilities as both director of human resources and assistant director general.
L’Heureux will continue to support the human resources department in her capacity as assistant director general, as the department will remain under her supervision.
The appointment comes as part of the board’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its administrative structure while maintaining continuity in its operations.
Central Québec School Board serves English-language students across a large territory in central and eastern Quebec.
