SHRM has appointed six senior human resources leaders to its Executive Council, the Society for Human Resource Management said Tuesday.

The new members include chief human resources officers from Delta Air Lines, Merck, Illinois Tool Works, and Carnival Corporation, along with HR leaders from MSI Surfaces and H&M Americas.

“I’m proud to welcome this distinguished group of leaders to the SHRM Executive Council,” said Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., president and chief executive officer of SHRM. “At a time when organizations are being tested from every direction, the Council’s guidance will play a critical role in helping SHRM translate today’s workforce realities into practical insight and bold action — so we’re not just keeping pace with change, but shaping what comes next.”

The Executive Council is an advisory group made up of senior CHROs, business leaders, and academics. It advises SHRM on workforce issues organizations are managing today and on shifts expected to shape the future of work. The council’s input guides SHRM’s research priorities and member offerings.
