Talogy has launched a new High Potential, or HiPo, solution it says will help organizations identify and develop future talent through science-based assessments rather than subjective performance ratings.
The global talent management firm said the tool moves beyond performance metrics and intuition to pinpoint employees who can grow into more complex and strategic roles. It also flags workers suited to specialist tracks, not just leadership.
“Identifying high potential is no longer just about who is doing well in their current role, it’s about who has the capacity to lead in a future we can’t yet fully define,” said Alanna Harrington, Head of Emerging Talent Solutions at Talogy.
Talogy research found that 91 per cent of HR professionals and 88 per cent of leaders still rely on subjective performance ratings to identify high-potential employees. The company said this approach increases the risk of bias and limits predictive accuracy.
The HiPo model
The solution is built on a framework that identifies four foundations Talogy says predict long-term success across roles, industries, and career paths:
- Aspiration: Wanting to progress by taking on broader responsibilities and more demanding roles.
- Agility: Adapting to new challenges, learning quickly, and working through change.
- Commitment: Alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and direction.
- Capacity: Thinking broadly, connecting ideas, and inspiring others.
The company said the model also recognizes that not every employee wants to move into leadership. It includes a specialist career path aimed at identifying future creators and innovators alongside future leaders.
“Our new solution provides organizations with a data-led roadmap that builds resilient talent pipelines which are inclusive, objective, and aligned with global business priorities,” said Harrington.
Features
Talogy said the solution draws on its research and validated assessment tools to reduce bias and improve predictive accuracy. It uses what the company describes as candidate-centric assessments to gather behavioural insights, and provides reporting for stakeholders along with personalized development plans for participants.
The tool is available in multiple languages and is designed to integrate with global HR technology systems, the company said, making it suited to multinational employers.
Talogy said the solution gives HR teams and business leaders a structured view of internal talent to support succession planning, hiring, and professional development decisions.
Based in Pittsburgh, Talogy provides talent assessment and development services to organizations worldwide.
