Lactalis Canada has been named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2026, the second consecutive year the dairy company has received the recognition from Mediacorp Canada Inc.
The company operates more than 30 sites across Canada including 20 manufacturing facilities and employs more than 4,000 people. Lactalis Canada produces brands including Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia.

Selection process
Greater Toronto’s Top Employers is an editorial competition managed by Mediacorp Canada Inc. that recognizes organizations with exceptional human resources programs and workplace policies. Editors review applicants on eight criteria: workplace, work atmosphere and social programs, health and financial benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and skills development, and community involvement.
The competition is open to organizations operating in the Greater Toronto Area.
Lactalis Canada is a subsidiary of Lactalis Group, headquartered in Laval, France. The company was named to Forbes’ 2025 Best Employers in Canada list. Lactalis Canada has more than 140 years of brand heritage, according to the company.
