A new diagnostics feature built into Visier’s artificial intelligence (AI) agent can identify the statistical drivers behind workforce changes, such as a jump in resignations or a slowdown in hiring, and recommend what to do about them, according to the workforce analytics company based in Vancouver, B.C.
The capabilities, added to Visier’s Workforce Insights Agent, known as Vee, are now available to select customers through an early access program. Visier unveiled the feature Oct. 20 at the HR Tech conference in Las Vegas.
“Vee tells you why your workforce changed and what to do about it which, for a lot of teams, is the difference between having a data point and having an actual decision,” said Ian Cook, vice-president of product at Visier. “It’s like having a Data Scientist on your shoulder, ready to deliver accurate and credible insights.”
Most organizations can see when resignations rise or time-to-fill grows, but proving the cause with credible analysis has typically required weeks of manual work, a dedicated data scientist or both, the company said.
What the tool does
The diagnostics feature uses statistical models to explain the “why” and “how” behind workforce changes, rather than only describing who left, what changed and where, according to Visier. The company said the feature will offer several statistical options so users can match a business problem with the model best suited to it.
The tool ranks every factor it evaluates, flags confidence levels and keeps a full audit trail so its answers can be defended, the company said. It also lets leaders model the projected impact of changing a specific driver before acting on it.
The feature is included in Vee at no extra cost, so customers do not need a new tool, workflow or additional staff to use it, according to Visier.
“The way to get business leaders to agree on talent decisions is for the foundation of the discussion to be rooted in credible and trustworthy data and insights supported by statistical rigor,” said Zachary Chertok, research director for human capital management applications and agents at IDC. “Visier’s Workforce Insights Agent, Vee, provides the workforce intelligence business leaders are seeking in an approachable way and for a wide range of workforce data users directly inside the workflows they are already using.”
Pressure on HR to show results
Boards and chief financial officers are increasingly asking HR to prove that talent investments affect business results, and most vendors cannot reliably answer that question without weeks of manual analysis, the company said. Visier argues that adding AI on top of disconnected HR systems does not fix the underlying problem of fragmented data.
Vee runs on Visier’s Workforce Intelligence Platform, which the company describes as a workforce context engine built on more than 16 years of workforce expertise. The platform maps, governs and secures workforce data for people, systems and AI agents.
Millions of users already have access to governed workforce insights through Vee, according to Visier. The company’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, launched in late 2025, extends those insights to other AI agents and enterprise tools.
More than 85,000 organizations use Visier, including Ford Motor Company, eBay, Experian and Domino’s Pizza, the company said.
General availability of the diagnostics feature, along with additional statistical models, is planned for winter 2027.
