Corel Corporation has named Tracy Porter-Stevens as its new vice-president of people, the Ottawa-based software company announced July 15. She will lead talent strategy, organizational development, leadership coaching, culture transformation and employee experience for the company.

Porter-Stevens joins Corel with what the company described as a tech startup approach to people leadership as the organization moves into its next stage of growth. Corel said she is known for building relationships with authenticity and empathy, and for helping organizations manage change while keeping teams engaged and high-performing.

Her appointment is one of three named to Corel’s executive leadership team, as the company builds out its senior management following its acquisition by Vector Capital in May 2026. Corel is led by chief executive officer Prasannaa Ganesan.

“Corel’s executive leadership team offers the powerful combination of decades of industry experience, M&A know-how, fresh ideas, and a deep first-hand knowledge of our business, customers, and products,” said Prasannaa Ganesan, CEO. “As we chart our company’s next chapter, this group’s impressive tenure, not to mention the return of core members, are a testament to the faith the team and Vector Capital have in our company and people.”

Corel also named Sathya Jayaraman as chief operating officer. He oversees information technology, information security, business operations, data engineering, customer support and analytics. Jayaraman has been with Corel for five years and is responsible for advancing the company’s operations, strengthening its technology base and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Prashant Ketkar was named chief technology and product officer, leading Corel’s global product, engineering and technology strategy. He has also been with the company for five years and is responsible for driving innovation and transformation across Corel’s product portfolio, which includes CorelDRAW, MindManager and WinZip.

Corel said its executive leadership team together brings more than 40 years of experience with the company, along with backgrounds spanning desktop software, large enterprise, startups and software-as-a-service.
