Aegon has appointed Jennifer Palmieri as chief human resources officer (CHRO) and a member of its executive committee, effective June 29, 2026.
Palmieri succeeds Holly Waters, who retires June 1, 2026. The appointment was announced May 22 from Schiphol, the Netherlands.
Palmieri has more than 25 years of experience in HR strategy, operating model transformation, talent development and employee engagement.

Jennifer will play an important role in supporting the transition of Aegon’s head office and legal seat to the United States, strengthening our people and leadership capabilities to support engagement and the continued growth of our company.”
Career background
Palmieri most recently served as chief people officer at Westfield Insurance, an international property and casualty insurance company.
Before Westfield, she spent nearly 18 years at Cigna, a health insurance provider, where she held several senior HR roles. Her most recent position at Cigna was senior vice-president, human resources officer.
